Most of these children are not expected to live into adulthood, which means that their families are coping with their enormously complex medical needs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and often for many years.
At present Julia's House only receive 3% of their funding from the government, so the majority of the essential income is raised through the generosity of the Dorset Community. In 2008 Julia’s House will need to raise £1.9 million.
