 With alarm clocks still ringing in our ears the "chosen few" set off on our adventure to the studio. Not knowing what to expect when we got there the journey was taken in silence save for the noise of biting nails and nervous twitches. We arrived at 2CR's HQ in Bournemouth on time and were warmly welcomed by the guys there. Coffee was delivered along with croissants and before we knew it the nerves were starting to drift away. We were introduced to Paul and Caroline who invited us into the studio where we watched the show going out live! The way these guys work was a sight to behold, fluent, slick and they even seemed to be enjoying it! We were quickly put at ease and before we knew it we were introduced "The Webheads from Get Us Online are with us today!" Richard took part in the Scalextrix challenge "wearing a suit and a crash helmet and laying on his back". 5th from bottom was as good as it got, good job he's good at his job! Next on the agenda was the Headline game when we had to put our heads together to come up with the best headline for a chosen story. We thought we had pulled it off "We are going to bury you" quipped Anita to Luke the Newsreader. Apparently it was not quite as good as we thought as Eileen from Gateshead buried us. With this our time in the studio was over and we were sent on our way. An excellent experience and we would all like to express our heartfelt thanks to the team at 2CR. |
