Kelly and Matt Steele, Area Directors for Get Us Online, are today delighted to announce their chosen charity. With their passion for all things local it will come as no surprise to people that know Matt and Kelly that they have chosen a local charity in the form of Julia’s House – The Dorset Children’s Hospice. “Choosing a charity is probably one of our hardest business decisions to date with so many worthy causes to choose from,” Matt says “one thing came to the top of the list in all categories and that was the charity had to be LOCAL.”
Julia’s House is the Dorset children’s hospice, providing much needed care for life-limited and life-threatened children throughout the county. Most of these children are not expected to live into adulthood, which means that their families are coping with their enormously complex medical needs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and often for many years. At present Julia's House only receive 3% of their funding from the government, so the majority of the essential income is raised through the generosity of the Dorset Community. In 2008 Julia’s House will need to raise £1.9 million.
