Come and visit the Castle’s rich interiors with its splendid collections of art, furniture and porcelain, together with Raleigh’s original kitchen, family artefacts and archaeological ‘finds’ from the old medieval castle on view in the castle cellars.
Explore 30-acres of beautiful Lakeside Gardens and grounds, and enjoy the beauty, peace and tranquillity of this perfect natural setting. Watch the abundant wildlife on the lake, feed the ducks, have a picnic and walk the dogs. Our Tea Room serves morning coffees, light lunches and delicious afternoon teas. The Blue Pool at Furzebrook constantly varies in colour. Very fine clay in suspension in the water diffacting light in different ways producing a spectrum of colour sometimes green sometimes turquoise.
Set in a deep clay bowl steps lead down to the waters edge or up to views of the Purbeck Hills, The Pool is and unusual Dorset attraction and is surrounded by 25 acres of heath woodland and gorse interlaced with sandy paths that seem to take you to another world.

Closing time 5pm - later in the summer.
