The Ringwood & Avon Chapter of the international networking
organisation, BNI, organised a Big Business Buffet to raise funds for
the Ebenezer Hall Appeal at Greyfriars Community Centre on Tuesday 1st
July.
Anita Gresham-Hale of Get Us Online Ltd by Vizzit. organised this busy
and successful event. Over 70 people attended enjoyed a glass of wine
or two and a buffet whilst discovering the secrets of effective
networking from guest speaker, Steve Graham. Fred Dinenage of Meridian TV captured everyone’s attention with a series of amusing anecdotes and games. Fred then drew the raffle and awarded prizes which ranged from ‘promises of services’ from the Ringwood and Avon BNI members to Champagne and Chocolates. Over £200 was raised from the raffle for Greyfriars Ebenezer Hall Appeal.
According to BNI Ringwood Chapter Director, Ian Mackrell, belonging to BNI is like having dozens of sales people working for you because all the other members carry copies of your card with them. Last year members of BNI passed 5,500,000 referrals, which generated more than £1 billion worth of business for breakfast.
The BNI Avon and Ringwood Chapter meets every Thursday morning at Greyfriars Community Centre Ringwood. Visitors are very welcome to come along for breakfast. More Information can be found on www.bniringwood.co.uk.
