North Somerset is the home of long sweeping beaches and traditional seaside resorts, but also a surprisingly wild rural countryside, full of history and legends.

Weston- Super- Mare is the epitome of a typical English seaside resort, with everything from donkey rides and candy floss on the beach, to a stroll along the Grand Pier, filled with all the fun of the fair.  The beach is huge and golden and has a promenade that stretches for miles - perfect for walking off your fish and chip supper.

Clevedon is Victorian seaside town of with a charming air of days gone by.  It also has a very pretty Victorian pier from where you can glimpse glorious views across the Bristol Channel.

The village of Cheddar is well known for two reasons: Cheddar Gorge is the largest gorge in the United Kingdom and the home of the amazing Cheddar Caves; and, of course the world famous Cheddar Cheese, which originated here.
