West Sussex is a beautiful county in the south of England, well known for its stately homes and castles such as Standen  and East Court Mansion, both near East Grinstead .Over half the county is protected countryside, offering walking and cycling ground for visitors and residents alike.

Ashdown Forest is now the largest free public access space in the South East, although it was originally a deer hunting forest in Norman times. It is a wonderful place for walking and enjoying spectacular views over the West Sussex countryside and is well known as the 'home' of Winnie-the-Pooh.  You could try visiting East Grinstead, well known for it's High Street, which contains the longest continuous run of 14th century timber-framed buildings in England.
