Eastender Heads to Winchester

Former Eastenders star Pooja Shah is heading to Winchester for the re-launch of a popular local restaurant.

The Bend it Like Beckham actress, who played troubled teen Kareena Ferreira in the BBC soap, will be the guest of honour at the new-look Balaka next week.

She will join a host of other celebrities at what promises to be a “glitzy affair” on the evening of Wednesday, July 28.

The family-run restaurant on Stoney Lane – which has been serving the community for the past 11 years – has recently undergone a £250,000 expansion and renovation.
